The itinerary will be shared with parents one month prior to camp from ashley@girlandherbackpack.com.

Transportation is provided from Sugar House Park in SLC to and from the trailhead. Transportation from other locations can be arranged if needed. Please contact ashley@girlandherbackpack.com at least two weeks before camp to arrange transportation from a nearby location.

Do you provide scholarships?

We provide scholarships to at least 75% of our camp registrants on a financial need-basis. Please fill out an application if you are interested in applying for a scholarship.

What should my child do to prepare for camp?

For fitness, we recommend taking your child to hike 2-3 times before camp. If a hike is not possible, then we recommend going for a few 2-mile walks. Walking for 15-30 minutes every other day is also highly recommended! Overall, we take a lot of breaks and go at the pace of the camper :)

“Finding a sense of purpose enables girls to develop their own framework for success, rather than looking at what others are doing as a source of comparison and competition.”
